Some people sent me some valid points regarding videotaping speakers. I'll reiterate them here for discussion - keep in mind they're not my doing. - We need to get permission from the speakers. Certainly at a courtesy level. Perhaps at a legal level too? - "Most speakers have a "stump" speech that they give over and over, and they're reluctant to have it recorded." - "Recording almost always causes self-censorship: the speaker's remarks will lack color and wit, and we won't enjoy the candid opinions we'll hear when he's not worried about lawyers and image." -Kevin - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
