ISPs generally use a ratio of customers-to-modem. Also, the low cost ISPs must run very efficient operations. Also, the ratio of customers to bandwidth. I have not looked at the ne.internet.services newsgroup lately, but that is a good forum to check out on Deja News. I did a quick search and came up with one posted a couple of days ago that was very positive about fastdial.
