My boss has a Thinkpad 600X running Caldera, and I fixed his XF86Config file by downloading what I found on the linux laptops web page. It works fine as a standalone machine, but when he puts it in the docking station, he can't get X to start. Presumably I need to define a second monitor definition. Is it possible to configure X to automatically detect whether the docking station is there, and switch monitor definitions based on that? If so, how do I do that? -- John Abreau / Executive Director, Boston Linux & Unix Email: jabr at blu.org / URL: http://www.blu.org ICQ#28611923 / AIM abreauj ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Working with NT is like trying to tune a watch wearing oven mitts.
