Yea, A consortium of Linux vendors put up the cash to fight the battle, 
and they assigned the rights to the name to Linus.

IMHO, it is a good thing.  If Linus flips out or dies and his heirs
get the rights to it, things could be significantly different.

Then we might need to rename it to 'The Software Previously Known as
Linux'
