I had no luck with OpenSSH under cygwin, as it required OpenSSL, and OpenSSL refused to build because it didn't recognize the platform "SYGWIN_NT". I then successfully built ssh 1.2.27 and sftp, and it worked fine on my machine. However, when I tried to verify the build on another user's NT machine, where the cygwin environment was not installed, I can't run it at all. It complains that sftp cannot be run in a DOS window. I copied over the ssh.exe, scp.exe, sftp.exe, and cygwin1.dll to the other machine and placed them all in the user's PATH. Any thoughts on what else is needed from cygwin to make these things run?
