Boston Linux Meeting Wednesday August 16, 2000

When: August 16, 2000 7:00 p.m. (6:30PM Q&A)
Topic: Consulting night
Presented by: Several consultants from Taos Systems
Location: MIT Building 4-370

Taos Systems (http://www.taos.com/) is a system administration
consulting company, and has been providing food at the BLU
meetings for the past several months. Several Taos consultants are
planning on being on hand with food and answers to any questions you might
have. Especially if you are a new Linux user, don't be shy. We'll try to
make the meeting as hands on as possible.

Also, the Boston Linux and Unix server was moved on August 2, 2000 from
its colocation facility at Verio in the Boston Park Sq. Area to
USDataCenters (http://www.usdatacenters.com/). As we are switching over
the name services from Verio to USDataCenters, the BLU server may show up
as an unknown host. If you have trouble with (http://www.blu.org), try
http://tarnhelm.blu.org or just the bare ip address:216.235.254.230. Some
name servers are correctly picking up the address, some others are not.
We'll try to get this corrected ASAP, but it may take a while since John
is traveling to LinuxWorld.
