I'm evaluating antivirus options for Linux. Obviously there aren't many linux/Unix viruses (2 linux viruses that i've seen reference to), but this computer is serving as a file sharing volume for windows workstatiions which have many viruses. Is there any linux product which effectively scans NetBios over TCP/IP traffic and FTP for viruses without leaving a man homeless? Sophos quoted me a price of 1400/year, but there are only 5 connecting clients. So far, Kaspersky Labs seemed the only decent alternative, althought their product is very poorly documented/packaged.
