I am planning on adding some IP aliases (eg. eth0:1, eth0:2, ...). With X, this can be done using either linuxconf or netcfg. I can also do it manually by creating the appropriate if-up and if-down scripts along with the appropriate symlinks. Is there a way to do this without using X (or netscape), such as a character cell based version of linuxconf or netcfg under Red Hat. In SuSE, I can do this quickly and easily with YaST. -- Jerry Feldman Contractor, eInfrastructure Partner Engineering 508-467-4315 http://www.testdrive.compaq.com/linux/ Compaq Computer Corp. 200 Forest Street MRO1-3/F1 Marlboro, Ma. 01752 - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
