Hello I'm currently using PheonixDSL (www.pheonixdsl.com) in the Boston Area under Linux. Pheonix is 50 a month for 768/408kbps, plus they offer lower/faster plans for more money. They give you 1 static ip address which they will allow you to reverse to a domain name if you wanted. If you get the 2 year contract through Rhythms the modem and installation costs are free. It took Pheonix about 35-40 days to get my DSL up and running which is supposedly considered pretty good compared to some of the other wait times that DSL companies make there customers put up with. I have nothing but good things to say about this company, the only screws up were Verizon's fault (they missed there appointment for outside wiring twice). They are very reliable from my experience. Best regards, -Michael MacDonald mikemacdonald at earthlink.net P.S. If you have any questions about Pheonix DSL I will be happy to answer them, just email me or write the BLU mailing list :o) ----- Original Message ----- From: Huy M Le <huymle at gis.net> To: <discuss at blu.org> Sent: Friday, October 06, 2000 2:44 PM Subject: Good DSL service provider? > Wouldn't anyone mind recommending a good DSL service provider which serving > the Cambridge area?
