3Dfx/Glide & RedHat v7.0

Well,

Without complaining about RH7 too much, I'm curious to know what
luck people have had at getting the Glide (or MESA) 3D stuff going.
I'm caught in a little decision:

go with RH7 because it supports the sis900 NIC (kernel > 2.2.15)
or stick with RH6.1 and build a new kernel

The other dependency is the Glide/3D stuff I need to run QuakeIII. Thus
I'm asking if anyone has gotten it to work on RH7. I'm rebuilding my
overclocked game system and need the path of least work. My intuition
says go with RH6.1...
