So, filter out the second copy on your own. Most modern mail filtering software will do so. Both GNUS and Procmail certainly can filter out duplicates based on message-id (and if the MLM changes the message-id, it's b0rken!). I, for one, prefer to have the reply-to NOT be the discussion list, because it makes it much easier to reply personally when I feel that my reply deserves a private reply. Or sometimes I _WANT_ personal replies (because, for example, I read personal messages much more frequently than list messages). -derek David Kramer <david at thekramers.net> writes: > I know I'll never win the battle to get the list's reply-to address > changed to the list (This IS a discussion list), but given that, can > posters make an effort to NOT reply to both the sender and the list, since > that sends two copies to the sender > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > DDDD David Kramer http://thekramers.net > DK KD > DKK D Intelligence is knowing how to build a nuclear bomb. > DK KD Wisdom is knowing how not to need them. > DDDD Shaggy 2 Dope- Insane Clown Posse > happy kwaanzannukah-mas-stice! > > > - > Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with > "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the > message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored). -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/ PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH warlord at MIT.EDU PGP key available - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
