So, filter out the second copy on your own. Most modern mail
filtering software will do so. Both GNUS and Procmail certainly can
filter out duplicates based on message-id (and if the MLM changes the
message-id, it's b0rken!).
I, for one, prefer to have the reply-to NOT be the discussion list,
because it makes it much easier to reply personally when I feel that
my reply deserves a private reply. Or sometimes I _WANT_ personal
replies (because, for example, I read personal messages much more
frequently than list messages).
