Any opinions on the problem that eBay suffers with occasional server crashes that bring it to a standstill? See this story: www.internetweek.com/newslead01/lead011101.htm My specific question: is it possible to so rapidly duplicate new data and transfer it to redundant storage nodes that a web site is both highy available and not overly affected by the need for large scale real-time updates to its multiple (redundant) databases. Thanks!
