I don't know if anyone will be interested but my latest copy of Poular Photography (Feb. 2001) has a nice article on flatbed scanners and also a great one with the best description of CD and DVD technology I have ever seen in a general purpose magazine. I found the latter to be very useful in understanding some of the minor differences between media types since much of that is never mentioned in computer magazines and websites. Anyone interested in using computers for visual arts might want to take a look. I don't know if those articles are also available on line. - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
