Modem setup help (Mandrake 7.1)

I'm running Mandrake 7.1 and thought that I had
configured the modem properly;however, it seems that I
haven't.  It connects properly to my ISP (the log
states that it does) and then when I launch Netscape
the connection abruptly ends and the modem redials on
it's own.  It's a PAP connection.

Any advice would be appreciated.
