One solution is to retain the current partition you have and simply use the diskette to boot.. Then after you have installed, then download the latest LILO. Also, the boot partition is only needed to contain the boot loader and a Linux kernel. I used to make it around 5MB until I obtained a LILO that worked well (SuSE 6.4 contains the upgraded LILO).
