> I tought that the jaz scsi ID was the problem and switch it to > scsi ID 7 but didn)B?t work > Any suggestions? I'm not familiar with your particular configuration, but I'd imagine that the SCSI controller itself is at ID7. Check /proc/scsi/scsi and set your Jaz drive to an ID not listed there. Mine looks like this: ip-216-73-129-66:ccb41 more /proc/scsi/scsi Attached devices: Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: QUANTUM Model: VIKING II 4.5WLS Rev: 5520 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00 Vendor: QUANTUM Model: ATLAS 10K 18WLS Rev: UCH0 Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 03 Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 03 Lun: 00 Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW4416S Rev: 1.0h Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Indicating that I'm using ID 0 and 1 on scsi0 and ID 3 on scsi1. In both cases the controller is at ID 7. ccb -- Charles C.
