> Why is Mandrake still around if Redhat comes with KDE? Wasn't Mandrakes > primary concern KDE? I know I'm missing something - just not sure what. For one thing, all packages are optimized for pentium-class processors and higher, which I have found makes a great difference overall. The installation is a lot easier, prettier, and more customizable. It also includes a lot more bleeding-edge features that RedHat still lacks, like ReiserFS, which has been in the Mandrake install for a long time. A working compiler also comes to mind *cough*. I switched to Mandrake from RedHat a while ago, and have no intention of going back anytime soon. Brian J.
