Hello to all: At work we have a RH 6 or 7, kernel 2.2.16 box onto which I have manually added myself to the /etc/passwd file and attempted to add myself to the /etc/shadow file. But, upon trying a remote login via ssh, the system denies my account access. Root has no problems at the console. What do I need to do (fix/undo/etc) to properly add myself? I also manually created my home directory on the system under /home/scott. Thanks.
