I've had a Vaio C1X for a couple years now, and while I've been happy with it for the most part, the battery life has always sucked. The extra-large battery that Sony described as a "six-hour" battery actually only lasts about two hours. The current model (C1VN, based on a Transmeta processor, would presumably have a longer battery life. I think I heard someone mention 9 hours. If this is really the case, it would be worth replacing my current machine. If not, I may as well just upgrade the hard drive. Is anyone here running Linux on one of these, and can you confirm the actual battery life you experience under Linux?
