:: insert personal grumble and snorts of derision here :: I daresay, anyone in the framingham area have the ability to get DSL or Cablemodem? I live in edgewater hills, in framingham, and seemingly, the only thing I can get is a t-1 from our friends verizon... Any help would be nice because having to use this barely-56k modem is cramping my style. -Jesse -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Feldman [mailto:gaf at blu.org] Sent: Wednesday, February 21, 2001 1:41 PM To: discuss at Blu.Org Subject: Question for the membership WRT: DSL or Cable && Windows. Miles Fidelman, president of the Center for Civic Networking wanteds to know how many BLU members have high speed Internet connactions, DSL or cable, and of those, how many run Windoz over that connection. I know that many of you have home networks, so I'll further narrow the statement to if you have a home network, where you might run a Linux box, I think that it is more important that which system is your primary machine for email and general computing. For example, in my house, I use Linux as my primary system, and my wife uses Windows. My answer would be Linux, or mixed.
