I gave a talk on Win4Lin last summer. Win4Lin is a bit different than VMWare in that it is specific for Linux and Windows. You install Win4Lin (and possibly a Linux kernel patch) under Linux. Then install Windows9x. Windows runs as a Linux process, with all of its files resident on a Linux ext2 file system). I have Win4Lin 2.0 on my laptop, but I need to reinstall it because I upgraded my version of Linux.
