Hi all, I'm setting up the following network. The problem is that I can ping 10.0.1.2 and 10.0.1.3 from the router but can't ping 10.0.1.4. I can ping 10.0.1.2 and 10.0.1.3 from PC1 but can't ping 10.0.1.1. Another problem is that I have to ping 10.0.1.2 and 10.0.1.3 from the router first before pinging 10.0.1.1 from Gateway1 else I'll get Destination Unreachable. Why is this so? (eth0:161.111.139.71) (eth1:10.0.1.1) (eth0:10.0.1.2) (eth1:10.0.1.3) (eth0:10.0.1.4) Internet <-----------------------------------> Router <-------------------------------------------------------------------> Gateway1 <--------------------------------------> PC1 <-------------------------------------------------------------------> Gateway2 (eth2:10.0.2.1) (eth0:10.0.2.2) I'm running ip-masq on the Router with allowing 10.0.0.0/16 to go out to internet. The following are the routing entries: Router : Destination Gateway Mask Interface 10.0.2.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth2 10.0.1.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth1 10.0.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth1 10.0.2.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth2 161.111.139.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth0 0.0.0.0 161.111.139.3 0.0.0.0 eth0 Gateway1: Destination Gateway Mask Interface 10.0.1.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth0 10.0.1.2 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth0 10.0.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth1 0.0.0.0 10.0.1.1 0.0.0.0 eth0 Gateway1: Destination Gateway Mask Interface 10.0.2.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth0 10.0.2.2 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 eth0 0.0.0.0 10.0.2.1 0.0.0.0 eth0 PC1: Destination Gateway Mask Interface 10.0.1.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 eth0 0.0.0.0 10.0.1.1 0.0.0.0 eth0 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
