-------- If you've been keeping up with the latest releases, this seems to be no longer necessary. I've had mozilla 1.9.2.1 for a while, the version that netscape 6.1 is based on. With these releases, it seems that you lose the table of apps that earlier versions used. But to configure an app, you only need the name. Now if there were some easy way to go from the apps on a kde or gnome menu to the pathname that mozilla wants. It seems there oughta be an easy way to discover the name of a program that's behind a window, but I don't seem to find it in TFM. You'd think that something like xwininfo would tell you, but it doesn't. dan wrote: | thanks, ron | | ron peterson wrote: | > O Wed, 5 Sep 2001, dan moylan wrote: | >> | >> in setting netscape preferences, i want to have pdf files | >> picked up by gv. entering gv works fine, but it comes up | >> blank. what characters do i put in after gv to indicate | >> the file i'm clicking on? | > | > %s - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
