Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2001 09:04:23 -0400 From: Brian Lockwood <lockwood at mac.com> That would make cents since I'm able to push out 1024x768 on a 12" screen the next screen size up should acodmate your needs. I just haven't seen one. I was at Costco this evening, and I saw a fairly nice looking Compaq for $1400. It had a 14" screen, 192 MB RAM, and 30 GB disk. The screen was in fact only 1024x768, although Windows (at least) was able to do 1600x1200 virtual resolution. I think it was an ATI chip; I presume XF386 can do the virtual resolution thing? -- Robert Krawitz <rlk at alum.mit.edu> http://www.tiac.net/users/rlk/ Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- mail lpf at uunet.uu.net Project lead for Gimp Print/stp -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton - Subcription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" on the first line of the message body to discuss-request at blu.org (Subject line is ignored).
