I see a lot of Microsoft security bashing on Linux areas because of these types of issues, but isn't this more indicative of the average Microsoft admin than the actual OS? The vulnerabilities exposed by CodeRed and now Nimda seem to be more admin related than anything else. Weren't the patches to these issues released well before these problems grew into a huge problem?
