Good Afternoon! I know this type of mail may not be categorized as appropriate user group etiquette (www.bl.org) but considering the state of the job market I'm sure anyone looking for employment will not be offended. Below are details pertaining to a permanent Linux SA in Boston. This is an active position for an exclusively Linux environment. Must Haves: Linux, Red Hat, Perl or shell scripting, knowledge of how firewalls work (they use IP tables which is a built in Linux firewall) Knowledge of 98 and 2K on desktops. Someone who can maintain system builds and deploy new networks. Knowledge of rdbms, TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, NTP, IMAP, NNTP, SSH and SMTP. **Knowledge means experience in a production environment** Must have heavy Linux background in a production environment. 3-5 yrs. They run a 24/7 shop. Approximately 20 Linux machines with a plan to add 20 more within the next 6 months. Please call me to discuss.
