I have the following PHP books that I like: PHP Developer's Cookbook (Sams) Core PHP Programming (Atkinson) Professional PHP Programming (Wrox) I found Professional PHP Programming to be the best for me at learning the language, but I don't look back at it any longer.. The Developer's Cookbook is excellent and I use several of the routines from there regularly. In addition, I have the MySQL book from New Riders that I've found to be a great resource.... Being a frequent visitor to sitepoint, I've pondered buying the SitePoint PHP/MySQL book - anyone have any thoughts on it?
