The host I am using does not accept -2 as an option. Aparrently it is only running version 1 because after I changed my config file back to "Protocol 2,1" I could make the ssh connection to my Linux box. >>Ali =============================== Reply-To: <tlyons at digitalvoodoo.org> From: "Tim Lyons" <tlyons at digitalvoodoo.org> Cc: <discuss at blu.org> Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2001 13:46:21 -0500 Have you tried specifying version 2 in the command line? ssh -2 <host> --Tim -----Original Message----- From: discuss-admin at blu.org [mailto:discuss-admin at blu.org] On Behalf Of Ali Taalebi Sent: Saturday, December 15, 2001 13:34 To: discuss at blu.org Subject: ssh: Bad packet length error! I did not have any problem making ssh connections to my Linux box, running RedHat 7.2, until I rebooted it. Now I am getting "Local: Bad packet length 1349676916" when I try to ssh. I should add that at some point before rebooting, I changed the ssh protocol in the config file from 1,2 to only 2. Is that ssh error the result of protocol change? Thanks. >>Ali _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss at blu.org http://www.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
