x-director + netscape 4.77

Is it possible to register Macromedia shockwave plugin to handle
the application/x-director mime type in Netscape 4.77?  I've added the
mime-type to Netscape applications preferences, but I am unable to specify
that I'd like that mime type handled by the shockwave plugin (the "Plug
In" combo box is greyed out).
