Hi all, I apoogize for not having written in till now, though I read all the digests. I am lucky enough to work for this non-profit and thought that some of you might be interested in this: KITE's upcoming volunteer orientation KITE, Inc. (http://www.kiteinc.org/), a non-profit addressing the global digital divide & using free software/open source software to do so, is hosting its first monthly volunteer orientation for local volunteers at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 23 at the Community Church of Boston. It is a block from the Copley Square T stop; their website has a map and directions (http://www.commchurch.org/location.htm). Bring a friend! We will also have a table at Arisia this month; if you're going, stop by and say hi. We are planning an Open House for next month with Maddog of Linux International as the speaker; I'll post details on it when they're finalized. My coworker Chloe and I are coming to the meeting on the 16th and look forward to meeting many of you. Thanks for your time, Liz -- Liz Loveland KITE, Inc. http://www.kiteinc.org/ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759
