They keep it moderately up to date. I tend to go there every month or so to see what fledgling distributions are floating around out there. It's actually how I discovered Sorcerer's and Gentoo. They also do a loose comparison of features and package versions between the distributions--so this is useful for those people who really have no knowledge of Linux who ask you which distribution they should run without telling you what they plan on using it for. At a minimum, it might help get across the idea that it's a complex question with many answers. /will On Fri, 19 Apr 2002, David Kramer wrote: > > Just found this: http://www.distrowatch.com/ > Dunno if this is common knowledge or not, but it looks good. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > DDDD David Kramer http://thekramers.net > DK KD > DKK D If Bill Gates had a dime for every time a Windows box > DK KD crashed... > DDDD ...,Oh wait, he already does. > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss at blu.org > http://www.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss > -- whatever it is, you can find it at http://www.bluesock.org/~willg/ except Will--you can only see him in real life.
