I recently checked out a lot of different types. Primarily to attach my daughter's 2.5 in and 3.5 in drives to her new Powerbook. I found that 2.5in enclosures for firewire ran from about $30 to $90. For Linux you want a USB (or better an adaptor for plugging into the local IDE bus as Chuck Young mentioned. There are plenty of 2.5in USB solutions since USB provided a good way to upgrade a laptop. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Associate Director Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9
