As of RH 7.3(?) you can use the Debian-inspired "alternatives" command to choose things like MTA and printing system. On my system: # alternatives --display print print - status is manual. link currently points to /usr/bin/lpr.cups Using "--set" and the path above will update the necessary links for you. You can also use the "redhat-switch-printer" command if you have it installed. Sorry I don't have more help to offer on the samba problem. At least this advice should make it easier if you decide to switch back to LPRng. - -- -Matt Virtue is its own punishment. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9hqQFc8/WFSz+GKMRAmajAJwMvMFEDaqzS4yU8arOqH4nQuMJ6QCgpj5/ M302U6N5TIFHLrpdM41sfY4= =Q16G -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
