Normally, I produce .doc files and .ppt files for my students to download although I produce these with either Star Office 5.2 or Open Office 1.0.1 (There is a bug in OO that still requires my use of SO 5.2. The bug has been fixed, but will not be released until the next release of OO). I use .doc and .ppt as the lowest common denominator because most word processors and presentation managers can read these files. AFAIK: .doc and .ppt are more common than the MS Word 97/2000/XP .doc or MS PowerPoint 97/2000/XP .ppt formats. -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Associate Director Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9
