I assume he meant the primary compiler in a release version.  GCC 3.2 has 
been in Mandrake's Cooker tree since it's release, and Mandrake 8.2 had an 
earlier verison of GCC 3 as a secondary compiler.  I was playing around 
with Mandrake 9.0 on a couple machines at work the other day, it's pretty 
slick.
