When: Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm NOTE: Due to scheduling issues, we must be out by 3:00 pm. Where: Mount Ida College, 777 Dedham St., Newton Center, Ma 02459 Great Room of the Student Center adjacent to the guard shack. There is a parking lot on your left immediately after the guard shack. (http://www.mountida.edu/Secure-Server-01/general-info/index-directions.htm l) Cost: Free, but we do ask for a voluntary donation of $25 to help support the user group. What you need to bring: 1. Your computer and monitor. 2. The Linux distribution you plan to install. We normally have copies of Red Hat, SuSE, and Mandrake available for installation. 3. A power strip. The room has limited outlets. Our volunteers will help you to install Linux on your own system. While Linux runs on most systems, some systems do have configurations and hardware that may not be supported. Please consult the following web pages for hardware compatibility.
