Jerry, I use e-smith both in the office and at home. It does some things quite well, makes other things more complex, and makes a few things nearly impossible. Its configuration options are designed to keep the machines secure, and it is easy to configure, within certain restrictions, for newbies like myself. I would be glad to answer any questions you might have. -Warren Agin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jerry Feldman" <gaf at blu.org> To: <discuss at blu.org> Sent: Monday, October 07, 2002 11:01 AM Subject: A Linux server distro e-smith > I got some email in response to my installfest posting regarding the e- > smith distro that tends to be specific to Linux servers for small > businesses: > http://www.e-smith.org/ > > Anyone know of it. > -- > Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> > Associate Director > Boston Linux and Unix user group > http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 > PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 > > _______________________________________________ > Discuss mailing list > Discuss at blu.org > http://www.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss >
