-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Well, I've suffered what I suspect is perhaps the most common way a Linux box can crash, through a hardware failure. I found the box powered off when I went to use it this morning, and when I try to power it up, it buzzes loudly, then beeps continuously for a few seconds (one very long beep), then powers down. I had something similar happen in the past, that turned out to be a failed CPU fan; hopefully this time it's something similar that won't cost a fortune to repair. In the meantime I've configured OroborOSX on my MacOSX box to act as an X terminal for my mail server. - -- John Abreau / Executive Director, Boston Linux & Unix Email jabr at blu.org / WWW http://www.abreau.net / PGP-Key-ID 0xD5C7B5D9 PGP-Key-Fingerprint 72 FB 39 4F 3C 3B D6 5B E0 C8 5A 6E F1 2C BE 99 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Exmh version 2.5 07/13/2001 iQCVAwUBPevialV9A5rVx7XZAQJaRwP9Hw+pqKuFOoMmcsxLA5YMT29iob7S8Vvo abQJQghLaxdhgblZDVYLm+oNi7IP+QzMjAPHuW8NuRShzpq9a3TLq4cbGhqethtC 8MQrzsU6BczjsCLaYPAQ+EwbPC4DwwtjAURRnzJKu2FhgE1ub3xLzaAGoJ6mUI5L sDqaslfzPo0= =kWE4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
