>Not trying to be trite, but have you considered a six foot rod and a hacksaw?  You'll need to file the burr off the end to get the nuts threaded, but it should be easier than trying to find a non-standard size.


Tip: put nuts on rod before cutting ... then removing them will automatically smooth out the burr ... also, the nuts can be positioned so as to guide the saw blade.
