Since I posted that I got a call from RCN "Courtesy Center" telling me that I have money to pay. I told the story of my wife's last call with them (they we complaining about a payment for which they had already cashed the check), but the woman on the phone explained that she didn't know anything about that. She was just calling from the "Courtesy Center". She didn't know about any problem. I said thank you and hung up before she could ask "Is there anything else we can do for you?" Maybe she didn't. I am sure she was not an RCN employee. Some hired drone. My internet access is too important, I wouldn't let RCN near it. Maybe if I had no choice... -kb
