SIGKILL

Mystery solved... the system ran out of memory and killed the software. :(

does anyone know of any good (and free) memory leak detection software?

I have a program that was running fine for several days but last night it
was killed by SIGKILL My first though was that someone explistly killed the
program with kill, but the onsite staff claims that is not the case. So
basicly other than an explisite 'kill' or call to the SIGKILL macro (which
isn't in my code) what can cause this?
