You should check the integrity of the files against their md5sum's / gpg signatures (if there are any). Downloading 3 iso's over bittorrent should take a couple hours. -miah On Tue, Apr 01, 2003 at 04:11:18PM -0800, William Holt wrote: > [root at rh8x3 linux]# make xconfig > rm -f include/asm > ( cd include ; ln -sf asm-i386 asm) > make -C scripts kconfig.tk > make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.5.9/scripts' > cat header.tk >> ./kconfig.tk > ./tkparse < ../arch/i386/config.in >> kconfig.tk > drivers/isdn/Config.in: 10: incorrect argument > make[1]: *** [kconfig.tk] Error 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.5.9/scripts' > make: *** [xconfig] Error 2 > > TWO QUESTIONS: > 1>why is it linking to i386 and not asm-i686? > 2>I can run menuconfig but not xconfig, note that when i run the previous kernel (2.18-14 from an rpm) i can run xconfig. > Please be kind, I'm new to building kernels...:) > > P.S.
