Running it on of a recent Redhat should work fine, but you'll need to either not enable modules, or install module-init-tools. They're available at ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/rusty/modules/ One note though, this will replace modprobe, and keeps an old copy as modprobe.old for the 2.4 kernels. This ends up causing problems if you compile a new 2.4 kernel and use initrd since mkinitrd won't grab modprobe.old. I believe this is fixed in rawhide. -- Gregory Boyce <gboyce2 at badbelly.com> New Subscriber, so hi folks.
