Looks like Mandrake has taken a page from the Redhat book, and done just what you didn't like with the latest Redhat distro: "KDE and GNOME now comes with a Mandrake look - "MandrakeGalaxy" - which has been designed in cooperation with Everaldo Coelho, the designer of the KDE Crystal theme.
