My wife's windoz system freezes randomly and I don't believe it is software. I put in a new power supply, but that did not fix the problem. I reseated the boards. However, I have not been able to reseat the CPU (AMD Athalon). The heat sync is clipped on and I don't want to use brute force to pull it off. With this little info, anyone want to take a quick stab at advice to remove the heat sync. (My next step is to bring up Knoppix and see if I get a freeze here). -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
