I've also noticed that after bootup I've got an "eth0:9" listing in my ifconfig output. What is that? eth0 does not have an IP associated with it, but this eth0:9 thing has a "169.254.41.250" address which is unknown to me since I'm on the usual 192.168.x.x. Duane
