---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Public service announcement... Comcast (former AT&T Broadband) is officially switching over the domain names for their mailservers today. If you know someone at an email address of the 'attbi.com' domain <*cough*>, it's changing to 'comcast.net'; moreover, said users won't be able to connect and check their email (and sadly wondering why no one writes...) until they make some manual configuration adjustments, unless they ran the 'auto-config wizard', and rebooted this morning. May the net-gods have mercy on their servers if they happened to run the 'auto-config wizard'. If you were one such person (and it _worked_ <gasp>) you may want to note that it will automatically enter your comcast email address into ALL your browsers (generally a bad thing if you want to avoid spam) in addition to other effects. Also note it will update and overwrite your default web-page for your browsers. More information may be found on the link for manual configuration at http://connect.comcast.net -- though curiously enough their web-server seems to be timing out a lot right now... ------------------------------------------------------- -- DDDD David Kramer david at thekramers.net http://thekramers.net DK KD DKK D I went to the race track and bet on a horse that DK KD was so good that it took seven others to beat him!
