A few weeks back, I mentioned on this list that my wife was looking for someone to develop a DB-backed Web site for the center where she works, and I asked what I should charge per hour if I volunteered to do the job. Because of developments in my own job search, I probably won't be able to do this project, so my wife is looking for some more competing bids. If you can write CGI scripts that use Perl or PHP to query and report on tables in a MySQL database, and you are available for a project lasting two or three months, see here for a description of the job: http://mpc-web.mit.edu/temp/index.html -- "In science, 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms." --Stephen J.
