-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Thanks for all the replies. The first thing I'm going to do is to pick up a course catalog (if I don't already have one somewhere). I have also sent email to the department admin to get me the book and an old syllabus that I can work from. I will also contact the guy who last taught the course. The first class is really an introduction to the course. At that point I can ascertain who my students are and what they expect to get out of the course. I have taught the Unix course before, and I've had quite a range of people from those were were not very computer literate to those who were Windows system admins. This is not a course for system admins. I plan to teach them how to configure their own system, install and use software. Install from RPM and install from tarballs. Since most Linux distros today are KDE or GNOME based, I will work within a graphical environment (I may install Red Hat on my other laptop so I can have both Red Hat and SuSE). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/YxP4+wA+1cUGHqkRAntXAJ9rV7BmeS4FClZDW6KjATdbfN8f9ACfR79+ +yQP9PW+9W0Xy8IAUzbfsBQ= =eeq3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
