> It always seems to freeze right after the main install screen. Here's another suggestion: go into the BIOS screen and disable *everything* on the motherboard that isn't needed to boot up. Look for USB, graphics, network, RAID, anything else that can be disabled. For example, I discovered that the USB device on my old Compaq causes a Linux lockup, and on another PC I discovered that the display adapter caused it if I enabled anything other than VGA mode. -rich
